"unofficial" as in, CCP have only stated that they are implementing a "reimbursement plan" in threads here on the forum.
Y'know, par for the course with CCP. |

Y'know, par for the course with CCP, where everything is either officially unofficial or unofficially official. No, "unofficial" as in only people who DON'T work for CCP have stated it, but with a history of (mostly) reliable information and a plausible story about their source being official communications with CCP staff. And with at least one thread surviving several days through moderator purges of the forum without being touched. Tacit acceptance of the thread doesn't prove it's true, but makes it seem less likely to be a troll attempt.
No, CCP Eterne (at least, I'm pretty sure it was Eterne... certain it was a CCP employee posting from a CCP account) has already stated in at least one thread that this is what they are doing. That's where the "rumor" came from. A post by a CCP Dev in one of these threads telling us that they will be rolling out a "Reimbursement Program" that we will be "hearing more about SOON(tm)" (paraphrasing, obviously). |

Didn't that conversation originally come up as a third party blog from a player?
I don't know where it "originally came up" but Eterne made a post, that is now deleted, specifically stating that there would be a reimbursement program for the Merc Pack. Looking back through the dev posts, I can tell you that it was during Eterne's posting on 04/15 around 9 pm (currently page 2). I didn't want to say I was 100% certain, because there's been a lot of traffic on this issue, but Sloth (who is on the "opposite" side of this issue) has confirmed that he too remembers it being Eterne, and I can reconstruct based on the other posts he made at the time that was the specific time frame that it was posted.
The fact that they have now deleted the post is worrisome though.
This is PRECISELY the problem with CCP and this game. It's one thing to communicate poorly about the F2P stuff, but you gotta be clear when you are TAKING PEOPLE'S MONEY about what you are giving them in return. |

But I do clearly remember Eterne saying that CCP is working on a reimbursement program, the details of which will be revealed at a later date. I am not sure that I recall the post the same as you guys. Are we talking about the thread asking why the no reset sticky was removed? If so, I think that Eterne said that there would be a blog posted on the subject, not confirm a reimbursement program. No, he commented in one of yesterdays many threads.
Yes, he was very clear that there WAS a reimbursement program and that they would be telling us more about it later.
It has since been deleted. |

We are all aware of the SP refund for May 6th. We are talking about the Merc Pack reimbursement for commercial release. |
